"Just returned from a fabulous trip to North East India. Wildlife sightings at the Sundarbans, Kaziranga and the Hoolock Gibbon Sanctuary resulted in more than 50 completely new birds, 14 new mammals and several reptiles. Visits to the Naga villages and the opportunity to interact with local people were great experiences, The Hornbill Festival, where the 16 Naga tribes meet to celebrate their heritage and culture in their local costumes, was spectacular. We had good guides throughout, especially Dipankar Borkakati who was with us for much of the trip. Thanks also to Paul Greig Smith for making all our arrangements. Overall a trip to remember for a very long time”

"A massive thank you to Greig Smith travels for organising our wonderful holiday to Sri Lanka. Feeling weary from our long flight and this being our first trip to Sri Lanka we were a little apprehensive when we arrived in Columbo airport. We need not have feared. We were met by Aruna, our ever smiling Tour Guide , introduced to a Ground Staff Manager with a formal welcome and bedecked with garlands of flowers. The Ground staff were simply amazing, the organisation faultless. For the entire tour Aruna looked after our every need, We just left everything to him and completely relaxed. During the tour we stayed at three hotels, all of a very impressive standard comparable to UK four and five star easily. Leaving our hotel on the last day of the tour we were wished farewell by two Ground Staff Managers and given a bouqet of flowers and chocolates. For the last week we stayed at The Fortress Hotel in Galle which is quite simply paradise with such attentive but unobtrusive staff. We look forward to our next adventure."

“Dear Paul, I write to thank you and express a little kudos for the recent Western Ghats Herpetological Expedition. As a researcher in herpetology my own expeditions are mostly applied field visits to harsh environments globally. I work for a range of universities, consultancies, government bodies and conservation authorities. As such, I understand the difficulty and patience required when organising expeditions to less developed nations. I originally attended the expedition as a busman’s holiday to see habitats and species that I previously only admired on television. What I got from the trip was so much more. It was a pleasant and relaxing expedition that exceeded my expectations. I thank you for your endurance and hard work during the trip. I was surprised by the good choice of attendees. It is always difficult to find a group of people with common interests who can operate in the field safely and enjoyably. I was also impressed with your contacts within the unique world of Indian herpetology. These contacts enabled the group an insight into habitats that would not have been permitted without good relationships with statutory authorities, landowners and conservation organisations. As a result of the trip I have had communication from some of the statutory bodies and conservation organisations we were introduced to. This has lead to design and supervision of a range of herpetological projects that aim to benefit key knowledge to certain Indian species and assist in securing future long term legal protection for them. In today’s conservation arena it is rare for successes to follow so rapidly from brief meetings in poorer nations that are often bogged down with bureaucracy and issues of greater humanitarian importance. I believe that if it were not for your intricate knowledge, open mindedness, keenness and introductions to key people during our time in India that my current participation may not have developed. You should be applauded for providing a satisfying, sustainable and professional ecotourism experience and be proud to have directly influenced greater conservation movements. I would highly recommend your expeditions to fellow herpetologists and look forward to participating in future trips"

"A Herpetological Expedition to Thailand" was an incredible experience. Paul had chosen some fantastic destinations to visit including a venom research centre, which I thoroughly enjoyed. We stayed on the mainland and also travelled to small Islands. We had an adventure on a floating village and found and photographed many reptiles along the way. We were joined by expert herpetologist Gerry Martin, who helped and guided us in the field. He has excellent knowledge of Asian reptiles so we were in safe hands. I was very satisfied with the accommodation and stopped in various eco-lodges and hotels. Nothing was too much for Paul and I felt he was a great leader with a lot of time and patience for not just me, but the whole group. I will definitely be going on another!! Thanks for the experience”
