Day 1 - Delhi               


Late Evening:   Arrive in Delhi.  Transfer to hotel & overnight.


Day 2 -  Delhi
Breakfast at hotel.  Morning:  Proceed for a City tour of Old and New Delhi


Old Delhi - Drive past the magnificent Red Fort (closed on Mondays), visit Jama Masjid. Drive past Kotla Firoze Shah, ruins of an old fort of the 14th century. Visit Raj Ghat, where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated in 1948. Drive through the old city subject to traffic restrictions


New Delhi - Drive past the Presidential Palace, the Rashtrapati, the impressive Rajpath to the World War I memorial arch, the India Gate, Visit Humayun’s Tomb built in 1565 AD by his grieving widow Haji Begum. Visit the Qutub Minar, the 72 meter high Minaret.


 

Day 3 - Delhi
Breakfast at hotel.  
Check out and transfer to Railway station


13:15 hrs           Board Train 12060 Kota Janshatabdi

18:02 hrs           Arrive Sawai Madhopur and transfer to Resort


Check-in at Resort, dinner 

 

Day 4 - Ranthambore                   
Early Morning Jungle safari.  Breakfast and Lunch at Resort.
 

Afternoon Jungle safari.  Dinner

Day 5 - Ranthambore                    
Breakfast at Resort.  Drive to Bharatpur (196 kms/ 4 hrs approx)

 

Overnight: Hotel

Day 6 - Bharatpur                    
Breakfast at Hotel.  Morning - Enjoy Birding in the park. Take a Boatride in the Park (subject to water levels)  


Afternoon - Enjoy the birding from the Cycle Rickshaw Ride.  Overnight: Hotel


 

Day 7 - Bharatpur                    
Breakfast at hotel.  
Morning - Travel by road to Chambal Safari Lodge (approximately 70 Km / 2 hours),


Arrive and check-in at Chambal Safari Lodge.  Lunch at the Lodge.  Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 8 - Chambal                    
Breakfast at Lodge.


Morning - Visit Bateshwar Temple. The ancient temple complex at Bateshwar on the Yamuna River consists of more than a hundred temples dedicated to the Hindu God Shiva. The ravines surrounding the temples and river are home to a number of Naga sadhus (snake worshiping ascetics) who have carved out little caves and temples within the mud walls.  For those interested in bird watching there is an alternative option of taking a nature walk instead.


Lunch, Dinner & Overnight: Lodge.

Day 9 - Chambal                    
Breakfast at Lodge.

Morning - Boat safari on Chambal River, offering spectacular opportunities to view wildlife. A bird watcher's paradise, the Chambal River banks are the ideal habitat for numerous migratory and resident birds. One can easily spot colonies of the rare Indian Skimmer, Greater Thicknee, the Comb Duck, Brahmani Duck, Bar-headed Geese, Spoonbill, Herons, Kingfishers, Fishing Eagles, Flamingos, Pelicans, Cormorants, and Partridges.

 

Lunch at the Lodge.  Afternoon - Jeep safari along the river banks, around the ravines, and in the fields surrounding the National Chambal Sanctuary.   Dinner & Overnight: Lodge

                       

 

Day 10 - Chambal                    
Breakfast at Lodge.  Morning - Checkout and drive to Delhi (285 Kms / 5 hours approx).  Arrive and proceed to hotel.  Overnight: Hotel.

Day 11 - Delhi                   
Breakfast at Hotel.  

Noon, check out and transfer to the International airport for onward destination.

  • Meal plan: Bed and Buffet Breakfast at all places except at Ranthambore & Chambal meal plan on Full board i.e (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner).

  • All transport by an air-conditioned Large Car (Toyota Innova) as per the itinerary.

  • Rail fare for travel between Delhi-Sawai Madhopur in an airconditioned Chair Car.

  • Entrance fees are included for monuments as per the itinerary.

  • 02 Jungle Safaris at Ranthambore in shared open-top buses (Canters).

  • Boat Ride & Cycle Rickshaw ride in Bharatpur as per the itinerary

  • Boat Safari on the Chambal River

  • English speaking naturalist during Jungle Safaris at Ranthambore & Chambal & during Boat Safari in Chambal.

  • A local English-speaking guide for all sightseeing.

  • Any expenditure of personal nature such as telephone calls, laundry, mini bar or drinks during meals, tips to driver, guide, helper, etc.

  • Any other meal/ details not mentioned in the itinerary.

  • Airport departure tax/airport development fee is usually included in the international air ticket.
