Day 02

Proceed for a City tour of Old and New Delhi

Old Delhi – Drive past the magnificent Red Fort (closed on Mondays), visit Jama Masjid. Drive past Kotla Firoze Shah, ruins of an old fort of the 14th century. Visit Raj Ghat, where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated in 1948. Drive through the old city subject to traffic restrictions

New Delhi - Drive past the Presidential Palace, the Rashtrapati, the impressive Rajpath to the World War I  memorial arch, the India Gate, Visit Humayun’s Tomb built in 1565 AD by his grieving widow Haji Begum. Visit the Qutub Minar, the 72 meter high Minaret.

 

Day 03            Delhi

Drive to Jaipur (Approx 274 kms/6 hrs drive)

Afternoon:        Arrive in Jaipur and proceed to hotel

Day 04             Jaipur

Morning           Half day excursion to Amber Fort – 7 miles north of

Jaipur is Amber with it’s a honey- coloured fortress-palace in the Aravalli Hills which can be mounted by elephant.  It has been described as “the sleeping beauty of Rajasthan”..

Afternoon        City tour of Jaipur – Photo stop at ‘Hawa Mahal’ (Palace of Winds) Visit - Jai Singh’s Observatory built in the 17th century by the founder of Jaipur who, besides being a prince was also soldier, astronomer and builder. Visit- City Palace, a part is now a museum that contains fine Rajput and Moghul paintings, rare manuscripts and an armoury, old carpets, and even amazingly embroidered clothes of the Maharajas and the Maharanis.

 

Day 05             Jaipur

Morning           Drive to Udaipur (Approx 420 kms/7 hrs drive)

Afternoon        Arrive in Udaipur and proceed to hotel

 

Day 06             Udaipur

Morning          Half day city tour- Visit the City Palace, once the home of Mewar’s rulers, is today a museum. Visit Sahelion-ki-bari (Garden of the Maids of Honor) the scene of royal parties for centuries. Drive around Fateh Sagar Lake excavated in the late 17th century by Maharaja Jai Singh and past the Kala Mandir (Puppet Museum) and the Cenotaph of Maharana Pratap. 

Evening           Boat ride on Lake Pichola (subject to water levels)

 

Day 07             Udaipur                                   

Breakfast at Hotel

Morning           Drive to Ahmedabad (Approx 261 kms/5 hrs drive)

Afternoon        Arrive in Ahmedabad and proceed to hotel

 

Day 08             Ahmedabad

Morning           Proceed to visit Sabarmati Ashram, calico museum

Afternoon        Visit Adalaj Step well and Vishalla for Utensil Museum

 

Day 09             Ahmedabad

Morning           Drive to Gondal (Approx 255 kms/5 hrs drive)

Afternoon        Arrive in Gondal and proceed to hotel

Later Drive to Sasangir (Approx 129 kms/3 hrs drive)

Day 13             Mumbai

Morning           City tour of Mumbai

Beginning with a photo stop at the Gateway of India. Dominating the quayside and erected by the British, it commemorates the visit of King George V and Queen Mary in 1911. Journey through the business districts of south Mumbai, passing by monuments built during the British era including the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Mumbai University and the High Court to Churchgate Station, to see the amazing Dabbawalas in action. Next take the local train to Mahalakshmi Station and walk to Dhobi Ghat, a huge open-air laundry. Return to the city centre and drive past the 'Queen's Necklace' section of Marine Drive to Mani Bhavan, former residence of Mahatma Gandhi and the focal point of his political activity between 1917 and 1934.

Day 14             Mumbai

12:00 Noon      Check out and transfer to International Airport to board flight for onward destination

  • Meal plan: Bed and breakfast basis at all places, in Sasangir will be on compulsory full board basis (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner).

  • All transport by an air-conditioned Large Car(Toyota Innova)

  • Elephant Ride at Amber Fort return will be by Jeeps.

  • Boat Ride on Lake Pichola in Udaipur

  • 02 Jungle Safaris by shared jeep in Sasangir

  • English speaking naturalist during jungle safaris

  • Entrance fees at all monuments as on date as per the itinerary

  • A local English speaking guide for Delhi, Jaipur, Udaipur and accompanying English speaking guide from Ahmedabad to Gondal for all sightseeing as per the Itinerary

This guide will not stay in the same hotel with the clients; however he will be available on his cell phone 24 X 7

  • Services of an English speaking TBi representative to assist at airports and hotels

  • All applicable taxes as on date. Any future levies will be charged extra

 

EXCLUSIONS:

  • Supplement for Airfare in Economy class  for sector Diu - Mumbai quoted separately

  • Any expenditure of personal nature such as telephone calls, laundry, mini bar or drinks during meals, tips to driver, guide, helper, etc.

  • Any other meal/ details not mentioned in the itinerary.

  • Airport departure tax / airport development fee usually included in the international air ticket.

  • Visa charges to India.
