   MANAS NAMERI KAZIRANGA ORANG  

 

 

 

 

DAY 01: GUWAHATI TO MANAS

On arrival at Guwahati, received and transfer to Manas National Park (174km/5hrs) – the most stunning pristine wildlife habitat in India, comparable to the best in the world in respect of the beauty of its spectacular landscape, covering an area of 519 SqKms. Located at the foothills of Eastern Himalaya, it derives its name from the river Manas that flows throughout the park from the north to south. The Manas National Park is the World Heritage Site, the Biosphere reserve and also the Elephant Reserve. This Brahmaputra Valley semi-evergreen forest Terrestrial Eco-region is also the richest in species of all Indian wildlife areas and the only known home for the rare and endangered Assam Roofed Turtle, Hispid Hare, Golden Langur and Pygmy Hog. Evening at leisure. Over night at Manas.

 

DAY 02: MANAS

Early morning Elephant ride into the forest and back to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast we will take a village walks to see its people and their culture. Afternoon Jeep safari through the Central range of the park to the place called Mathanguri just few steps away from Indo-Bhutan boundary. Mathanguri is one of the most beautiful points of the entire national park. Then drive back to lodge. Overnight stay at Manas.

 

DAY 03: MANAS

Full day Jeep Safari at national park where you can encounter with the wild life like Buffaloes , Elephants  and Deer. Evening at leisure. Overnight at Manas.

 

DAY 04: MANAS - ORANG

After breakfast we will proceed to Orang national park (310km/7hrs) - covering an area of 78.81 Sq Kms, it also known as the miniature of the edition of the Kaziranga National park. The park has rich flora and fauna including great one horned Rhino and Tiger along with other wildlife such as Hog deer, King cobra, Civets, Jungle cats etc. Overnight stay at Orang.

 

DAY 05: ORANG

Early morning Jeep Safari inside the national Park. After breakfast we will explore the wilds of the Orang National Park and back to lodge. Afternoon enjoy another Jeep safari inside the Park. Overnight at Orang national Park.

 

DAY 06: ORANG -  NAMERI NATIONAL PARK

After having breakfast we will proceed to Nameri National Park (110kms / 3hrs) - covering an area of about 200sq. kms the park is the second Tiger reserve of Assam. The park consists of deciduous forests, hills and the river Jia Bhoroli flows through it. The rich wildlife of this park includes Tiger, Black bear, Elephant, Leopard, Clouded Leopard, Indian Bison, Pangolin, Indian Wild Dog, Deer, Civet Cat, Capped Langur, Jackals etc. It has over 376 species of birds and also birds of special interest such as the endangered white winged wood duck, four species of Hornbill, Ibis Bill and many more. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay at Eco-camp.

 

 

DAY 07: NAMERI NATIONAL PARK

Early morning trekking inside the park, then back to the camp for breakfast, after breakfast rafting at the Jia Bhoroli River  running along the national park for  water birds like – Ibis Bill, Ruddy Shelduck , Yellow Thick Knee, Plover, Kingfishers and many more. Overnight stay at eco-camp.

 

DAY 08: NAMERI -  KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast we will proceed to Kaziranga National Park (130kms/2.5hrs) - a World Heritage Site and Tiger reserve - is home to more than 80% of the world’s population of the Great One Horned Rhinoceros. It has a significant population of Asian Elephant and Water Buffalos living here and also has a wide variety of fauna and avifauna in a unique habitat of mainly grasslands, close tangled and thorny rattan cane, elephant grass and tall trees of evergreen forest and numerous water bodies. More than 400 species of birds both resident and migratory are found here. After lunch enjoy a Jeep Safari in the Western range of the park - ideal for grassland birds. This range is preferred for seeing big game like Rhinos and Water Buffaloes. Overnight stay at Kaziranga.

 

DAY 09: KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK

Early morning Elephant Ride in the Central range of the Park followed by a Jeep Safari in the same range: The central range is good for water birds such as Falcate Teal, White-eyed Pochard, Grey headed Fishing Eagle, Crested Serpent Eagle and Spot-billed pelican. Bengal Florican can also be seen in this range. After lunch Jeep Safari in Eastern range of the park. Overnight stay at Kaziranga.

 

DAY 10: KAZIRANGA TO GUWAHATI

After breakfast drive to Guwahati (210kms/05hrs). On reaching Guwahati visit Umananda Temple – a small island on river Brahmaputra. Overnight at Guwahati.

 

DAY 11: GUWAHATI -Fly

Today is your last day at Assam. We will drop you at the Guwahati Airport for onward destination.
