From the ancient capitals of Sukhothai and Ayutthaya, the relaxing northern provinces of Chiang Mai and Lampang to the history and river vistas of Kanchanaburi, this tour covers it all. Mostly organized just a little bit different.

 

TRAVEL DATES:

 

Day 01: Bangkok Arrival

Warm welcome by a local Thai guide upon arrival at the airport.

 

Day 02: Bangkok

Start touring the Grand Palace, Wat Phra Kaew, Wat Pho, and Wat Arun with a renowned guide. Navigate Bangkok's fascinating maze of waterways and canals where life is slower and simpler. At 18.00 pm discover the sophisticated Ÿflavours of Bangkok's 200 year-old Chinatown.

 

Day 03: Bangkok – Chiang Mai

Fly to the 'Rose of the North' and in the afternoon focus on the city's most revered Buddhist temples and shrines.

 

Day 04: Chiang Mai

Become an elephant owner for a day. Learn how to approach the elephant and Ÿobserve its temperament, learn about elephant farm management, breeding programs and the role these magnificent creatures play in Buddhism.

 

Day 05: Chiang Mai

Enjoy a wonderful and relaxing bicycle journey along the Ping River, through narrow roads and local fruit orchards, rice paddies and small villages. End the ride at the seldom-visited ruins of Viang Khum Kaam.

 

Day 06: Chiang Mai – Lampang

Drive to Sankamphaeng district with its several handicraft workshops of silk weaving and umbrella making. Browse Kaad Thung Kwian market and visit Wat Phra That Lampang Luang, the most magnificent temple in northern Thailand.

 

Day 07: Lampang – Sukhothai

Drive to Sukhothai and begin to explore the Sri Satchanalai Historical Park by bike. Cycle around the premises and visit Wat Chang Lom, a remarkable ruined temple.

 

Day 08: Sukhothai – Ayutthaya

Spend the day exploring the Sukhothai Historical Park (UNESCO World Heritage Site), visit the main remnants of the 13th century: Wat Mahathat and Wat Sra Sri. In the afternoon drive to Ayutthaya.

 

Day 09: Ayutthaya

A full-day sightseeing in Ayutthaya, including the Bang Pa-In; the old royal summer residence. Take a longtail boat to tour the famous temples of Wat Phanachoeng, Wat Yai Chai Mongkol, and Wat Mahathat.

 

Day 10: Ayutthaya – Kanchanaburi

Catch the train to Nam Tok station. It's a beautiful ride along the River Kwai and over the famous bridge. Visit various sites that remind of WWII, and transfer to the hotel for overnight. This might be at the luxury safari-tents, stunningly located on the pinnacle of Hintok Mountain.

 

Day 11: Kanchanaburi

Early morning, start with a bike ride across a hanging bridge to the temple. Go for merit making by giving food to monks and come back to the camp for breakfast. Visit Mon Tribal Village and spend time at leisure in the camp.

 

Day 12: Kanchanaburi – Bangkok Departure

A private driver picks you up for a transfer to Bangkok airport to embark your flight.
