GORILLA & WILDLIFE SAFARI
Day 1 - Arrive at Entebbe and transfer to Kampala
Welcomed by your guide at Entebbe International airport and transfer to Kampala. ï‚· Depending on your time of arrival, you can relax at your lodge which has a pool to cool off in, and beautiful views of Lake Victoria and the city.

Day 2 - Travel to Lake Mburo National Park
8:00am Travel west out of Kampala to Lake Mburo national park, one of the smallest but most interesting parks in Uganda (approx. 5 hour drive incl. breaks)
Stop at the Equator for photos with one foot in each of the world’s hemispheres.
Check in to your lodge and enjoy lunch with stunning views across the park.
Afternoon game drive around the park in search of zebra, buffalo, impala, eland, water buck, leopard, wart hog and many fascinating birds and small mammals.
If you feel like it, enjoy a sundowner at the Lakeside restaurant to the sound of grumbling hippos and wandering wart hogs. Accommodation: Rwakobo Rock 3
Day 3 - Safari walk and travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
7:00am Accompanied by a wildlife ranger, take a safari walk for a different experience of the park as you get close to the animals and explore the bush.
10:00am Continue your journey south, through the fascinating towns and beautiful countryside of up-country Uganda, stopping for lunch on the way.
Arrive at Bwindi Impenetrable national park and relax at your lodge on the hillside adjacent to the forest.

Day 4 - Gorilla Tracking
7:00am after breakfast, take your packed lunch and drive the short distance to the park headquarters to meet your group (max 8 people), guides and porters. After a briefing, start trekking through the forest until you find your gorilla family.
Spend one hour with the gorillas, watching them play, groom, eat and even snooze.
Depending on how long you spend tracking, there may be time for a village walk visiting the craft shops, hospital project and local dancers.

Day 5 - Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
After a leisurely breakfast, you will head to Queen Elizabeth national park, stopping in the southern sector, Ishasha, for a game drive in search of the elusive tree climbing lions.
After a packed lunch at the Ishasha River camp site, you continue north and checkin to your lodge.

Day 6 - Game drive and boat cruise
A dawn game drive will allow you to catch the early risers in the park including lion and elephant. There is also beautiful scenery to explore.
Enjoy lunch and perhaps a dip in the pool back at you lodge.
Take a 3 hour boat cruise along Kazinga Channel which links Lakes George and Edward. This provides the chance to get close to the animals and birds that inhabit the river banks or come down to the water to cool off or drink. See elephant, hippos, crocodiles and birds like the magnificent African Fish Eagle, various Kingfishers, Cormorants, Storks, and Herons.

Day 7 - Travel to Kibale Forest National Park
9:00am Drive to Kibale through the beautiful crater lakes region, set against the stunning backdrop of the Mountains of the Moon (Rwenzori mountain range).
Enjoy lunch in the cool breeze of Fort Portal town.
Drive approximately one hour to the Bigodi Wetlands for a swamp walk. Explore this fascinating habitat with the chance to see primates such as the Black and White Colobus monkey, Grey-cheeked Mangabey, Red-tailed monkey and more.

Day 8 - Chimpanzee tracking
7:00am after breakfast, join your guide and group for a walk through the forest tracking our closest relative, the chimpanzee. Enjoy the other sights and sounds of the forest too, especially the birdlife including the famous Green-breasted Pitta.
Return to your lodge for lunch and an afternoon of relaxation.

Day 9 – Return to Kampala
After a leisurely start, drive (approx.. 5 hours) back to Kampala through the beautiful tea plantations, and banana gardens of this fertile part of Uganda.
Have a late lunch in Kampala before heading out to your lodge in the suburbs.

Day 10 – Kampala and return to Entebbe Airport
Spend your last day in Uganda exploring the museum, cafés, art galleries and craft shops of down town Kampala. Alternatively, you can head for Entebbe and spend the afternoon at the Botanical Gardens or at a hotel pool.
Your guide will say farewell at the airport, in time to check-in for your flight home.
